Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak stated that the construction of gas pipeline project in Turkey is on schedule.
“We expect the infrastructure in Bulgaria to be completed in the first half of 2020,” he said.
Novak evaluated the natural gas pipeline project and made a press statement in Sochi. Novak said, “We do not expect problems to arise during the construction of the TurkStream in Bulgaria.
The pipeline continues to be built in Turkey’s offshore and onshore areas as planned. There may be minor changes in Bulgaria.
But we expect the infrastructure here to be completed in the first half of 2020.”
TurkStream Gas Pipeline, which will transport Russian natural gas to Turkey and Europe, will consist of two channels, each with a capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters per year.
It is expected that Bulgaria will import 3.5 billion cubic meters of the 15.75 billion cubic meters planned capacity for the European market.
