More than 2 thousand companies from all over the world will take part in the International Construction Industry Fair (Batimat) in Paris-France, and 350 thousand visitors are expected to visit Batimat.
According to the Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association (IDDMIB) statement, 53 companies from Turkey will participate in Batimat, one of the world’s largest construction exhibitions.
Batimat will celebrate its 60th anniversary in Paris, France between 4-6 November.
Tahsin Öztiryaki, president of Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association (İDDMİB), said that they would participate in Batimat to represent Turkey in this International fair.

Importance of Exhibition for Turkish firms
Serdar Urfalılar the Chairman of the Turkish Building Materials Sector Committee, stated that Batimat is the second largest exhibition for the construction sector in Europe and it is very important for Turkish companies.
“Turkey’s share in France’s construction materials imports is 1.5 %. Batimat is the biggest platform to increase Turkish firms’ exports to France,” he said.

Construction sector exports increased by 1%
“Trade volume of the construction sector amounted to more than 33 billion dollars last year,” Urfalılar said, “In the first 9 months of this year,
building materials exports increased by 1% and reach 16.3 billion dollars. We aim to exceed the export target of $ 22 billion by the end of the year.”
