Trabzon Ropeway: The Black Sea’s longest ropeway

The users’ number of the Trabzon ropeway, which is known as the longest ropeway in the Black Sea, exceeded 44 thousand people in 14 months.

The longest ropeway in the Black Sea was built in Beşikdüzü district of Trabzon.

Trabzon Ropeway is 3600 meters long and its construction lasted 2.5 years and opened on June 15, 2018.

This ropeway which was commissioned by Beşikdüzü Municipality has served with great interest especially from Arab tourists.

From its opening date to September this year, during 14 months, the number of domestic and foreign tourists who used the ropeway reached 44 thousand 275 tourists.

Trabzon ropeway established between the 535-meter-high Beşikdağı and the Beşikdüzü coast.

The cable car has two cabins with a capacity of 55 people, and its journey takes about 15 minutes.

The total cost of the project is 100 million TL and is known as the longest ropeway project in the Black Sea.
