Vice President Fuad Oktay and Minister of Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak, said that Ease of Doing Business Index in Turkey rose to 33rd place in the world.
Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak made a statement on Twitter about the World Bank report.
Minister Albayrak stated that Turkey’s ranking in the Ease of Doing Business Index rose 10 positions and reached 33rd place.
The Minister congratulated all colleagues, relevant ministries, public sector employees and The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges.
“Turkey’s ranking in the Ease of Doing Business Index the latest World Bank annual ratings rose from 43rd to 33rd out of 190 countries,” said Vice President Fuad Oktay.

Last year, our Ease of Doing Business Index rose by 17 positions from 60th to 43rd place.
According to the 2020 report announced today, we have risen 10 places from 43rd and became 33rd country.
I would like to congratulate all my colleagues, all employees in the relevant ministries and public institutions, and Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges who contributed to the Ease of Doing Business Reform Works conducted under the leadership of our Ministry
We will continue our reforms. and provide facilities in various fields such as starting a business, paying taxes and foreign trade.
We will raise Turkey’s investment climate to the highest level by reducing costs and increasing productivity in business life.
