Turkey has been exporting many services in different fields such as education, health care, construction and entertainment in recent years.
In the contracting sector, Turkish international construction companies are competing with China.
While Turkey competes with the United States in the series, where Turkish TV series are broadcast in 142 countries, it competes with China in the construction sector.
Service Exporters Association Chairman Ilker Aycı stated that sector’s exports reached 48.6 billion dollars.
“We believe that Turkey will reach the 150 billion dollars target soon,” Ilker said, “In 2018, Turkey showed a growth of 11.4 % in exports of services.
We expect double-digit growth in 2019 as well. Service exports, which added 25.6 billion dollars to foreign trade, play an important role in the balance of income-expense.
Turkey, which has one of the top 20 economies in the world, aims to be among the top 20 service providers in the world as well. We can say that we are very close to this goal.”
Ilker Ayci said, “Our companies in various fields such as IT, consulting and logistics must be supported to form big brands.
Our health sector can compete globally. Our series are watched in 142 countries. We are the 2nd in the series sector after the USA.
In the contracting sector, our international construction companies are competing with China.
We see that our universities are among the most preferred by foreign students. As for the tourism sector, we are one of the biggest competitors in the world.”
