80,601 People Have Received Rent Assistance in the Urban Transformation Project
In the process of urban transformation and during the first 6 months of this year Ministry of Environment.
and Urbanization provided rent assistance worth 500 million 144 thousand liras to 80,601 beneficiaries.
The Ministry continues to work throughout Turkey to implement urban transformation.
300,000 Units Will Be Converted Every Year
Ministry of Environment and Urbanization will complete the transfer of 300 thousand homes each year, including 100 thousand in Istanbul.
as part of the plan to convert 1.5 million homes in five years out of 7.6 million homes which will be converted.
Within the process of the urban transformation campaign that began in 2012, 3 billion 666 million liras rent assistance
was provided to 282,261 beneficiaries including 237,861 risky buildings and 44, 400 risky regions.
In the first half of this year, rental assistance for risky buildings was provided for 77,401 people and rent assistance for risky regions was provided for 3,200 beneficiaries.
Thus, 500 million 144 thousand liras were provided to a total of 80,601 beneficiaries.

In order to avoid harm to citizens during the process of urban transformation, in the first half of 2019 the ministry provided rent assistance to help the beneficiaries in the transition
and renting houses and in the first half of 2019, 109 million 313 thousand liras was provided to 3,200 beneficiaries as rent assistance in risky regions
and 390 million 830 thousand liras were provided to 77,401 citizens as rent assistance in risky buildings.
Thus, after providing assistance to 80,601 beneficiarie rent aid reached to 500 million 144 thousand liras.
Under the law, Istanbul, Ankara, Chernak, Izmir and Antalya were among the top five cities for which rental assistance was provided and according to the same law,
the ministry provided the highest interest support to eligible beneficiaries who would use loans to Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Ankara and Van, respectively.
